Mute
Apologies for my absence! I had great ideas for posts when things got busy this week but I guess busy got here sooner than I realized, so there will be a little less writing but hopefully just as much posting!

This Weekend...
Went away for the weekend for some relaxing before the craziness kicks in this week. There's something so relaxing about train rides. As eager as I am to arrive, it's the only time I really have to myself- to think, to read (aka continue onto the next Hunger Games). Spend most of Saturday night just lazing around and couldn't figure out whether to go out for dinner or stay in. We decided the latter and dabbled in some cooking and am so glad we did, the result was delicious. Sunday night, well I was doing what I'm sure most of my fellow Americans were, watching the Super Bowl- and loudly rooting for the Giants. What a way to end the weekend...

Hello, Friday
Good thing I take pictures right before I leave to work or there would not be much to look at here. Lately, it's been 12 hour days which results in me crashing as soon as I get home. I get a good amount of sleep at night but going nonstop for that amount of time just takes its toll on me. Typically, I resemble a delirious person by the day's end and my hair is on the other side of my face and there isn't an ounce of make-up left. Here's to looking and acting like a real person over the weekend.

Camel
I bought this blazer/jacket (?) on sale at H&M some months ago. I had been looking for a camel blazer and quickly snatched this up only to find when I put it on, that it was this strange length. I didn't know what to make of it but decided to buy it anyway. I'm glad I did. It's easily thrown over something casual- bringing the sophistication of a blazer with a modern twist. Shopping job well done...

Outdoors
Sunlight. I love what they do to pictures. They're instantly that much more interesting. I wish I had the time (and confidence) to take pictures outside everyday. Hope your week is off to a good start!

This Weekend...
I've been looking for a good read for a while, and my best friend recommended me The Hunger Games. My initial reaction was...eh. I had heard it was a teen book and wasn't too interested to pick it up. Needless to say I read it cover to cover this weekend and am already well on my way on getting the next two. When I wasn't reading it, I was with my mom celebrating her 50th birthday. My whole family got together, so I spent some time with younger cousins and eating delicious cake.

Fancy
Oh, you fancy-huh? It seems like everyone can pull off the nice top with casual bottom look, but before I walked out the door I did a double, ok...maybe a triple take. Is it just too much of a contrast? This top looks especially shiny in person. Regardless of my staring in the mirror for an extra 10 minutes, I still decided to just do it and walked right out the door.

Blending In
These tights were slightly disappointing. I wanted a pair that were not black and thought grey was a good step in the right direction. They're a little too light, and I feel like at a glance it looked like I wasn't wearing any tights. They're also patterned which you can't tell from afar. Eh, oh well. I suppose that means I just have to invest in another pair.

This Weekend...
I've gotten used to living back home but this weekend just stirred all these feelings of nostalgia. Everything about college is so convenient. You make your own schedule, plan your own free time, don't have any real responsibilities, and your best friends probably live 3 feet away from you. For anyone who goes away for school (as I did), you really make a home out of a completely foreign place, and well- I've really missed this home...

Making moves on the dance floor.
Federal Hill covered with a thin blanket of snow.
Crossing over the bridge at the aquarium.
Stepped into a candy shop by the harbor.

The only decent shot I have of my outfit from the night. I really planned on taking full outfit pictures but time was not on my side-woops! I ended up wearing the American Eagle dress I wanted for Christmas with nude heels.
